What is the carnivore diet?

The carnivore diet is a way of eating from animal-sourced foods and reducing or eliminating all plants from the diet.  It is the ultimate elimination diet. Significant health improvements are seen with this way of eating along with fat loss, reduced inflammation in the body, and relief from many illnesses.

There are numerous reports of people experiencing reduced or even reversed symptoms of diabetes, digestive issues, improved gut health, depression, mental disorders, skin conditions, joint pain, hormonal imbalances, Lyme disease, chronic fatigue, candida overgrowth, pain, inflammation, etc

As a carnivore coach, I will first discuss your dietary history and personal goals.  I will help you plan a menu, share the challenges you may initially face on the diet and give you strategies to handle them.  My goal is to help you make the transition as easy as possible. 

The Carnivore Diet

My Story

I started this way of eating in the spring of 2019.  After listening to numerous podcasts and reading personal experiences from those on the diet I had to give it a try.  Having two autoimmune conditions with Hashimoto and celiac, an intolerance to gluten, along with intestinal permeability I was the perfect candidate for this diet.  I had also discovered that my body did not metabolize oxalates, a plant toxin, which can trigger inflammation, damage the mitochondria, cause functional problems with the brain, and nerves to name a few symptoms.


I went through an adaptation period of about three weeks as my body transitioned to this diet. I immediately felt the benefits. My metabolic numbers improved as well as my thyroid function. I had more energy, mental and physical stamina, my skin looked healthier, and I slept better. I also noticed that I was increasingly happy each day for no reason at all.  I found my cravings slowly disappeared as I adapted to more fat in my diet and my brain and body thrive in ketosis.


I will continue this way of eating as I feel the best I have ever felt at the age of 50.  This journey has been worth the effort!
