100 Times Washed Ghee: Shata-dhauta-ghrita or 100 Times Washed Ghee is an Ayurvedic preparation, commonly prescribed for treatment of wounds, burns, chickenpox, scars, and other skin diseases in India. It is prepared by washing clarified butter or ghee one hundred times with distilled water in a copper bowl.
How to use: 100 Times Washed Ghee can be used as a daily moisturizer on your face and your whole body. It is very nourishing and soothing for the skin and does not leave a greasy residue. It has been known to reduce inflammation and help with problem skin such as eczema, rosacea, and dryness. It should not be directly applied to the skin surface of the eye. It is an excellent vehicle to deliver iodine and essential oils for medicinal uses to the body since it can penetrate multiple layers of the skin. Ghee is also rich in vitamins A, D, and E.
100 TImes Washed Ghee water separation: You will experience some separation of the water that is mixed into the ghee. To prepare the washed ghee it is mixed in a copper bowl 100 times. The pressure from mixing in a copper bowl splits the fat molecules and creates an emulsion that is water infused. Since this is a natural substance it will respond to environmental changes such as heat and cold. It is best to store it in a cool place and can be stored for up to 6 months. You can also refrigerate washed ghee to store for longer periods when not in use. Natural product color variation may change from batch to batch over time from pale yellow to white. It may sometimes contain a mild negligible scent of ghee that dissipates immediately after application.
